My Bedroom

When we built our house almost 3 years ago, I never would have imaginged the amount of never-ending projects there would be! Our bedroom was one of those projects. It was always an after-thought to the rest of the house. But after awhile, I started feeling like one of those people on the design shows. You know, where they say their rooms started causing contention, frustration and anxiety just by being in there?! That is seriously how I started feeling...I wanted to be able to relax in our room, and it definitely did not feel relaxing! So, after a year of trying to redo it (because I kept running out of money:), it is finally finished (minus a mirror). When I walk into it now, I feel good...and relaxed. So, I guess...mission accomplished!

(pretend there is a big mirror behind the dresser...I haven't been able to find one yet that isn't $300!)

St. George

Matt has to go to St. George to work every couple of months, so it is a perfect excuse for the kids and I to tag along and have a little break! We had so much fun hanging out with friends, and just having a break from the normal day-to-day. Too bad the weather was crappy...we seem to bring it with us every time we go down there!

At Dixie rock (where I was having some serious anxiety...again!)

...in the elevator at the hotel...

These girls had an arranged friendship in the beginning, but this trip they just hit it off! It was fun to see how cute they played together!

Silly girls! Thanks Melissa for letting us hang out...we had a blast!

First Boat Ride

Matt recently bought our family a boat (despite me saying no:) and has been DYING to take it out...so we headed out to Willard a few nights ago to give it a test run. Boating is Matt's happy place...I don't think I have seen him that giddy since our last boat we had! The kids had a blast too...I am working on my anxiety issues with the kids being on the water...so hopefully I'll get over it. Matt says I have no choice:)

Can't wait for summer...so we can actually get IN the water!

Easter

Easter was good this year...I always love when conference falls on Easter Sunday. We had a little Easter at our house, then had another basket hunt at Grandma Taylors. The kids just get more and more fun with every holiday...I love it!
Sitting still for a few seconds during conference...(I think Ella's gone a little gangsta)

Seeing what the Easter Bunny left for us at home...

This is the conversation that took place during this picture:
me: hey guys, can you stand together so I can get a picture?

Ella: no, I'm too busy dancing like a fairy princess...

Gage: more numnums! mom, more numnums! (that would be what he calls candy...you can't tell, but he's desperately trying to open some kind of candy)

...And so this is the best that I could get...most of my pictures end up looking like this...

The Easter Bunny left the baskets on the jump again at Grandma's house (thats what Ella calls it!)...luckily he left Morgan and Ella their latest obsession, Pet Shops. Ella is automatically into whatever Morgan is into!

My darling sister Amy, and her boyfriend Jason (nice face Ames...don't be mad at me...)

My brother Dave and his cute Nancy...

Happy 30th!

...(not mine thank goodness:) Happy Birthday Matt! We all love you so much!!
Man, we're getting old...when did that happen?!

we've been spending time with cousins...always a favorite activity for the kids...

Gage is in Nursery!

Gage just turned 18 months, and is finally old enough for nursery!! What a happy day for me...I have had a baby on my lap in church for the past 3 years! Right after Ella was old enough to go to nursery, Gage was born...so let's just say I haven't been getting a whole lot out of church these past few years! Also, Ella is a cute little sunbeam now...I can't believe I have a child in primary...time flies.
