Welcome Home Dave!!

It's hard to believe that 2 years have gone by, but my brother Dave came home on Monday from his mission in the West Indies. A lot of our family came to the airport to celebrate with us - it was so crazy and awesome to see him again - and after awhile, it was almost like he never left! He is a little different than the Dave that left though, so cute and innocent!

Morgan had the hardest time with him being gone. Excited doesn't even begin to explain how happy she was he came home!

I {heart} Shoes

So many of you know that I am a little obsessed with shoes, so I guess its fitting that I am obsessed with shoes for Ella too. I just thought I'd share our most recent find!


When we were trying them on at the store, she kept saying "petty shoes, petty shoes" I love that some of her very first words have been pretty and shoes!

Just an update on her hair - I know it looks pretty scary right here, but we are definitely making progress!

It's A Boy!

So we found out today that we are having a little boy! We are excited - I was a little nervous at first because I feel like I am so wired for girls, but I am a lot more excited than I thought I would be. It will be fun to have something different, hopefully he will teach Ella that she is not queen of the world. Plus, Matt is so excited - he was hoping so bad it would be a boy. The doctor told me that I am measuring big for my dates and that the little guy is chubby, which is weird because I was always measuring small with Ella. I am hoping it doesn't mean a big baby - my sister-in-law just had a 10 pound boy a couple weeks ago (aaahhhh!), so big boys definitely run in Matt's family! Let's just hope I will get induced again - I loved it! Any suggestions for some good boy names?

I love my squeaky shoes!

I bought Ella some squeaky shoes, and she is obsessed with them now! She has to wear them all the time - the first thing she says when she wakes up in the morning is "shoes, shoes", so she is pretty much wearing them all day, every day. I'm kind of getting sick of the squeaking, but she gets mad if I take the squeakers out!


She's always been into everything, but now that she can squeak her feet, she is especially obsessed with the kitchen because the floor makes her shoes louder!

She even had to wear them to church today - they didn't go with her dress, but I have learned that I can't really tell her what to do if I want peace in the house.

Can you tell she is getting some hair in? I promise, it really is there - I'm pretty excited.

Happy New Year

So, I have decided that I need a new camera because all of our Christmas pictures turned out dark, but I'm kind of glad that the holidays are over (is that bad to say?) So, happy new year! Our new year will be including a new baby, something that was a little shocking for us, but we're excited to be able to have another child. I'm finally starting to feel somewhat better, so it's starting to sink in more now and feel right. Hope the new year is a good one for all of you!

Halleluijah

I know these pictures are boring and look like all our others, but I just have to say they mean a lot to me! The past almost 2 weeks, Ella has been a sick terror monster! (I mean that in the nicest possible way!). She had a fever of 104 for over 3 days, and right after got a really bad chest cold. I haven't been feeling very good myself, so I feel like a bad mother that I don't have patience to deal with her! Anyways, this is the first day she has let me put her down without screaming bloody murder and the first time we have gotten her dressed in something other than her diaper. A big day for me!! But even so, I still can't resist the little stinker!

She loves to play with my phone. She changes my ring tone at least twice a day.
